Course House System

Abercarn Primary operates a house system. Every child and members of staff is given one of Three houses to support. Houses help to create community spirit and provides an opportunity to contribute to something bigger that involves children from all year groups. Children can earn house points for effort in their learning, upholding the school values and good behaviour for learning. Our house system encourages children to collaborate and work towards a common goal. 

Our houses are Dragons, Phoenix and Lions. Each house is represented by their House Captains

The House Captains are responsible for leading their house in competitions and events, and representing the school in the community. Each house is supported by a member of staff who acts as House Leader.
