PUPIL DEVELOPMENT GRANT (PDG) 2023-2024 OVERVIEW

The total number of pupils on school roll for September 2022 is 259. The school’s FSM population is under 25% (>11%). The total allocation of PDG to this school for April 2022 to March 2023 is £27600 and EYPDG is £2300. This is a significant decrease on previous year.

The school undertakes the following activities in order to support pupils facing the challenges of poverty and deprivation:

  • Reading Intervention and Support in both Foundation Phase and Key Stage 2
  • Staff within Foundation Phase to support Teaching and learning in small groups including Nursery and Reception
  • Literacy and numeracy catch up within Key Stage 2
  • Numeracy Intervention in Year 2
  • Wellbeing and Mental Health support across the school.

The school’s PDG, EIG and EYPDG Plans are regularly scrutinised by the Governing Body, supported by advice from the EAS and monitored by the Local Authority.
