As you know, this term we are focussing on Humanities. On Wednesday 12th February 2020 we have our Historical Re-enactment Day. There will be a range of practical activities taking place throughout the school. Please telephone the school office to book a place in your child’s class. Due to the practical nature of the activities / events space is limited but we will hold a reserve list for each class. We will also film the events and make this available so all parents are involved. Times and details are shown below:
Nursery (Classroom and outside) - 9.45 – 10.45 - Exploring toys and games from the past.
Reception (Classroom) - 9.45 – 10.45 - “Wash Day” Experience.
Year 1 (Classroom and outside) - 9.45 – 10.45 - 60’s Street Party.
Year 2 (Classroom) - 9.45 – 10.45 - Roman Banquet / Toga Party (Wear a toga if you like).
Year 3 (Classroom and Garden) - 9.45 – 10.45 - Celtic Jewellery and Archaeological Dig.
Year 4 (Classroom) - 2.30 – 3.30 - Victorian Experience - Victorian Experience.
Year 5/6 PP (Classroom / Hall) - 2.30 – 3.30 - Medieval Mange.
Year 5/6 RT (Garden) - 2.30 – 3.30 - Great fire of London enactment.
Year 5/6 EY (Classroom / Hall) - 9.45 – 10.45 - Tudor Experience.
