Dear Parents and Carers

As part of our on-going commitment to communicate with you more effectively and increasingly involve you in your childs learning, we are delighted to be able to tell you that we have invested in the online platform SeeSaw.

SeeSaw enables your child to capture their ‘Golden nuggets’ of learning, moments they would love to share with you. In many ways, seesaw is a 21st century complement to your child’s ‘Pupils Profile’ witch is regularly shared with you at our open days or at more formal parent/carer and teachers meetings.

The big advantage SeeSaw has over our pupil profiles is that your child can capture their learning in real time, reflect on their learning and then share it with you. With you cosent, you are notified that your child has uploaded new learning to their SeeSaw account and you can view their learning and comment on it if you would like to.

If you would like to takeadvantage of this opportunity, Please use your unique QR code to scan with your device’s camera, enabling you to access your child’s learning (Your child will received their unique QR code this week). You can then use the SeeSaw Parents App for IOS, Android, or use the internet on a computer to view your childs learning. An example of the instructions you will receive on how to create your account is included in this letter. When your child adds new learning to their SeeSaw account, you will receive a notification on your smartphone or tablet and/or an email (you can specify this in your account settings.

You only have access to your own child’s account and learning. All of the content is stored securely.

We do hope that you take advantage of this super opportunity. Pupils throughtout the school are very excited by the prospect of being able to share their learning with parents and carers on a regular basis.

Please do not hesitate to find me if you should have any questions.

Thank you,

Mr Greenslade
