SUN CREAM

Please can I remind Parent/Carers to put sun cream on pupils before sending them to school!  Please ensure your child brings a bottle of water every day and wears a hat as necessary. Water is available for children during the school day although water bottles help with top ups and health and safety!  Parents should apply sun protection cream to exposed body parts. Although it is not possible to allow pupils to bring such creams to school, there are now products on the market which give protection for the whole of the school day. The school will also encourage the children to sit in the shade out of direct sunlight for part of the lunch break.

Tuesday 25th June 2019

Rising 3’s – 9.30am

Nursery – 10.30am

Reception - 1.15pm – 1.50pm

Year 1 - 2.35pm – 3.10pm

Year 2 - 1.55pm – 2.30pm

Children can be collected from the usual classroom door at the end of sports day!

PLEASE LET US KNOW IF YOUR CHILD WILL NOT BE ON THE SCHOOL BUS

 

Wednesday 26th June 2019

Year 3, 4 , 5 and 6 – 1.20pm

Children will be competing all day and parents are invited to the afternoon session.

Please enter through he astro turf gates by walking down the school drive. Please do not wear any high heels as this will damage our astro turf.

It is anticipated that Sports Day will finish at the end of the school day and therefore children can be collected in the normal way – PLEASE LET US KNOW IF YOUR CHILD WILL NOT BE ON THE SCHOOL BUS

 

NON UNIFORM DAY FOR BBQ

It is non uniform day on Friday 28th June 2019.

Children in Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are asked to donate sweets / chocolate for some stalls in the BBQ and children in Year 3, 4, 5, and 6 are asked to bring a bottle – any glass bottles to be handed to office staff. Thank you1


CULTURE DAY

The Culture Day was last Friday and it was lovely to see all children in Brazilian colours – children really enjoyed the African drumming workshop throughout the day!

 

CLASSES AND TEACHERS FOR NEXT YEAR

A letter regarding classes and teachers for next year was sent home last week. Children will meet their new teacher and spend time in their new classroom on Wednesday 10th July 2019. Nursery children will make extra visits to Reception class over the coming weeks and Year 2 are already visiting Year 3 in order to be familiar with the new change.

YEAR 6 PROM

The Year 6 Prom will be on Monday 15th July 2019 – 6pm – 8.45pm. The Theme is Hollywood and Paparazzi. Hot food and drinks will be provided. Information for Tickets will be sent home this week.


YEAR 6 WELCOME EVENING

Newbridge School  has organised a Welcome Evening for parents and pupils on THURSDAY 4TH JULY at 4.45 p.m.  Letters will follow.

 

YEAR 6 LEAVERS

Year 6 leavers assembly will take place on the last day of term at 9.30am. Please let us know how many seats you will require!


HOLIDAY FORMS

Please make sure that you get your holiday forms into the office as soon as possible. Ideally we would like them at least a fortnight in advance. If you put them in last minute then you can expect for them not to have been authorised in time for your holiday.
