Foundation Phases Sports Day Update
by Mr L Greenslade - Wednesday, 27 June 2018, 7:54 PM

It is Foundation Phase Sports Day on Thursday 28th June 2018. Due to the very hot weather forecast we have changed the format of the afternoon in order to ensure pupils are not out in the sun for the whole afternoon, are well shaded by the gazebos and to ensure parents are not waiting in the heat to watch their own child.

The new format will be:

1.15pm – 1.45pm – Reception Class will compete in their races and then parade with their medal and go back to class. Children will sit under the gazebos whilst waiting to compete.

1.45pm – 2.10pm – Year 2 will compete in their races and then parade with their medal and go to class. Children will sit under the gazebos whilst waiting to compete.

2.10pm – 2.45pm – Year 1 will compete in their races and then parade with their medal and go back to class. Children will sit under the gazebos whilst waiting to compete.

PLEASE BRING CHILDREN TO SCHOOL ALREADY DRESSED IN THEIR P.E. KITS AND DON’T FORGET A HAT.

Parents can arrive at the times above to see their child race and then make their way back to the classroom door if they wish to collect their child. Refreshments will be available from the PTA stall.

The class will still sit in their houses under the gazebos and cheer their fellow classmates on. Please cheer and encourage the children. I am sure you will understand that these slight changes may go some way to help ensure the children are not out in the sun for the whole afternoon during the very hot weather! Thank you for your understanding!
