Children in Year 5 and Year 6 are set for English and Maths and will be challenged and supported appropriately. Groups will be decided from a combination of Teacher Assessment, School Based Assessments, National Tests and Targets

There will be no movement between classes. Children will move up as a class. I am aware there may be a minority of concerns regarding the number of boys and girls in our current Year 4 classes. Unfortunately, it is very difficult to achieve a balance because we are heavily outnumbered with boys. 70% of the year group are boys compared to 30% girls. We will aim to achieve a better ratio of boys / girls in the classes through the setting process for English and Maths.

Children will meet their new teacher and visit their new classroom on Tuesday 11th July 2017.

There will be a meeting for our new Reception Class parents at 9am on Wednesday 19th July 2017 in the school hall. Please make every effort to attend as Mrs James will go outline school routines, procedures and expectations.
