ST DAVIDS DAY

St David’s day celebrations will take place on Thursday 1st March 2018. Children can wear traditional Welsh costumes / rugby shirts etc to school. We will be taking photographs to send to South Wales Argus for their St. David’s Day supplement

ESTYN INSPECTION REPORT

You will recall our school was inspected at the end of November 2017.  The full report is now available to read on the Estyn Website – hhtp://www.estyn.gov.wales/provider/6762264. You can also request a copy from the school office.  The report is extremely positive and highlights the super work of pupils, staff and Governors as well as the support of parents.

NATIONAL CATERGORISATION

I am sure parents are aware that the categorisation of all schools in Wales has been published.  I am pleased to say that Abercarn Primary is a GREEN School.  Everyone should be extremely proud.  It is a reflection of the hard work of pupils, staff, Governors and parents.  A big well done to everyone!
